The elevated design keeps my cat from straining her neck while eating, and the halo shape is genuinely beautiful sitting on the kitchen floor. I've had it for two weeks and the ceramic wipes clean easily with no chipping, even though my cat is a messy eater who knocks bowls around.

The ceramic is noticeably heavier and sturdier than any bowl I've owned, so it doesn't slide across the floor when my cat eats. The elevated height seems to help her posture, and the halo design actually looks pretty on my kitchen counter.

My cat actually prefers this to her old plastic bowls—the wide, shallow design keeps her whiskers from brushing the sides. The elevated stand is a nice bonus for her posture while eating.
